Dan Wheldon did not have to die

Sometimes its easy to blame the sport, or blame the athlete involved when something bad happens. This is not one of those times. The blame rests squarely on IndyCar leader Randy Bernard and the rest of the team running the sport. Desperation and auto racing just do not go together.

Yes, I know the sport is dangerous and yes, sometimes no matter what you do someone is going to be seriously injured, or even killed, but not this time.

Desperate IndyCar leaders compromised and gambled in the mecca of gambling with people’s lives, and Dan Wheldon lost. It was a sideshow from the start and in any other facet of life, IndyCar leaders might be facing criminal charges of neglect and criminal endangerment…. lots more on
