Season of the Witch (2011)
I’m on the side of the knights in Season of the Witch, a medieval, black plague fantasy cum horror. The accused is in the right corner – a girly witch. In the left corner are the knights from the Crusades. All kind of dark. But is it a case of gallantry verses wickedness? The points scored from the outset are by the Knights who have the advantage already – she’s blamed for the plague so they take her to an abbey (read: monastery) to exorcise the curse off the land. It might require a bit more than gallantry. But is she the cause of the plague? That is the question. The knights promise fair treatment but I’m hoping for a fairly decent show down whatever the cause.
